Specialists from UNAIDS, UNDP, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO and the Ministry of Health collaborate for four days to training.

24 participants from Cruz Roja, Bocamandja, Josafrica, Okomo Abeso, Salud positiva, AMUSIDA, Biriaelat, Sport Link, SOS, Buen Samaritano, have attended a training on the development of projects aiming to combat HIV and other endemic diseases in the country. This training brings together NGOs that work with vulnerable people, and is aimed at reinforcing the approach to actions of each target group at the time of carrying out their awareness activities.

Asking to not lower the guard, the facilitators have warned on the danger represented by HIV in the Equatorial Guinean society where AIDS continues to wreak havoc and affects many people, even more since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The training have mainly addressed the following topics: “epidemiological situation”, “screening and counseling”, “self-support groups”, “condom use and sexual health”,“ elaboration of messages”, “adherence to treatment”, and “plan of activities with budget”,.

According to the specialists, “the classification of the technique for the preparation of HIV messages should be the concern of the NGOs in Equatorial Guinea”.
