Malabo February 14, 2024. UNFPA Equatorial Guinea (EG) engaged in a strategic partnership with FRS "Fundación de Religiosos para la Salud" (FRS) to establish a concrete framework for cooperation in the field of sexual and reproductive health and the prevention of gender-based violence in EG. Last week, a working session was organized with both FRS Equatorial Guinea and a delegation from FRS-Madrid to comprehensively evaluate our past collaboration in 2023, strengthen joint initiatives, and develop a robust 2024 Joint Annual Work Plan.
This collaborative effort, which includes the active participation of UNICEF, aims to enhance effectiveness and optimize our collective impact on women and girls in Equatorial Guinea. UNICEF was invited to contribute to activities of interest to them to reduce duplication of efforts and to foster coordination in programming. The FRS delegation from Madrid committed to strengthen the partnership with UNFPA to ensure a robust, multi-perspective approach for maximized impact in the field. This first working session follows the signing of the MoU on November 10th, 2023, between UNFPA Equatorial Guinea and FRS.
